Hi Linda,
This blog truly shows your humorous side. The part of you we have come to love. You rant, but it never offends, you whine, but with such innocence..you are amazing. Yes, we know that you are the only person with diabetes, the only person to think of throwing yourself in the path of oncoming bicycles--- I am still laughing over that one! Anyway dear friend, You are such a lovely person and I wish you great health!

That is wonderful that you had an earthly angel help you in your time of need! I am glad that this gift came at such a perfect time for you.
I had to laugh when I read your comment about not being so dumb...hee, hee... as it reminded me of a time many years ago when I asked my daughter, "Do I really look that stupid???" Problem was...she answered me! hee, hee... Maybe we should write a book on 100 questions you should never ask your children/friends/etc... hee, hee...
(and NO that doesn't mean I think you are/were dumb!)
Love,
Cryssa
Hi Linda love! sorry I've been out of circulation. Been ver busy and wierd thing is when it rains here most of the times the internet goes dead! LOL! anyway I'm back steady now. Ok don't panic. I had what they call gestaional diebates when i was pregnant with my daughter. I thought my world ended considering I love to eat..i mean really eat! I got the little needles to prick and test 5 times a day plus after every meal to check on glucose level. For me is the most difficult part watching my late husband gobble food and i had to wiehg portions. The positive thing is you eat very healthy, small portions and after a while you get used to it. Oh also exercise. Its a good thing Youre talking about it...that healps alot. Don't worry you have loads of support from AD members. Big kiss!
From one diabetic to another welcome aboard. For those who say it is not that bad give them the finger, let them go from being a sweet tooth to a sour puss and see how they like it. LOL We do have to take care of ourselves though so yea listen to the doc and keep on testing.

Hello Linda, thank you for sharing as I was told two years ago that I am diabetic and I thought I will be one of the smart ones as there are six of us in our family who are Diabetics, not counting both parents. Right away I started to eat proper foods at proper times and walk. I am not too much for exercise but I love to walk and I love the Treadmill so it seems to work if my sugars decide to pop up I go on the treadmill and get it down. I look at it as healthy habits now. You take care and remember God has His reasons.
Newfie hugs, Rose
Thanks for this blog, Linda. It seems Diabetes has become the illness of our generation, maybe because of what we eat.
A regulated diet and exercise can also help, but rapid weight loss is part of it.
I've seen it in some of my friends. Take care- you can handle it. God bless!!!
((((hugs))))
