These are the seven links I clicked on, of about twenty, not in their order, when I saw the marketplace open, Linda, as a poet, not a novelist.

I don't have a book, I have words wanting to be a book, and images in my head. It is pretty damn hard to know who is what and which what is true on the Internet. Better to wait and see if you really want a 'book' out there or not. The inference and intent of other minds misconstruing a simple idea is staggereing, painful and off-putting while living now and living history.

I like the idea of AD's Marketplace, I need to find a potential completion with professional help in my field to progress further than where I am. It's discouraging, anymore, to be WWWebbed without recourse.

Hi Donna... In two years, I have sold two books!!! while on AD. The problem I believe however, is that....all of us are writers/authors and we can't always purchase the works of others, even if we admire and like it. We are so busy trying to pay for our own mktg that it becomes almost impossible to buy from others. We should not "fear" what AD may do to us, because we are all paid customers...nothing is free...and as long as we stay within the rules (unless they change as we speak?) we should be fine. I notice that those who can afford the Platinum mbrshp are always posted all over the site..Not due to their talent or work (altho I am sure they are worthy writers, etc). I see the same names over and over as "featured" etc...and the tallies are ridiculous. We simply must write, post, and improve our work by sharing with one another, after all..we are mainly in the same boat! I have learned much while at AD, but one of the top lessons is "greed" and little for the members unless we pay, pay, pay... On the otherhand...we can stop paying for our mbrship and move on...or just let things go!! While I am still paid, and posting...I intend to receive all I can for my money worth! People just don't want to make waves...but it is our money...our site...etc.. Good luck to you... hugs, lindalaw
