I often in past before I took ill would daydream of retirement in my sixties with my bills paid off, a good pension and fairly good health to be able to spend the last few years of my life travelling. What I got was a bum ticker, diabetes, twice as many bills and an early DI pension that barely covers my meds...hmmmnnn glad I retained my imagination so I can still travel in my mind. LOL

For me, the best death is a quick death. But no one has any guarantees, as you mention. We shouldn't fear death, which is natural. We should fear only suffering I'd say.

These are some thought provoking ideas, Rosemarie. It's haard to even come up with a hypothetical case. Just too many variables.
