I found it interesting in my ever so shallow research into synesthaesia that it is relatively rare, 1 in 200 or less -- it was also interesting to note that it occurs very predominantly in left handed females -- and appears to be hereditary, that is genetically linked -- thanks for reviving my thoughts on the subject -- peace my friend -- JMW

Many writers have it, many creative persons have it. To visualize a painting through music, to see a musical note in color, not just randomly...but always...there are many tests done to find it true. There is a documentation about it on the Discovery channel, look for it when it comes about. It is fascinating how our mind works and becomes intrigued by our surroundings. I am very proud that Reg is bringing this "good" disorder to the public eye!
