I enjoyed reading about your indie publishing experience, Lorna. I have several novels published by traditional publishing houses, but I haven't ruled out the possibility of self-publishing something in the future (maybe something a little experimental). Advances in print-on-demand-technology, ebooks, etc. are making self-publishing more affordable and accessible (and perhaps even fun!). When I self-publish, though, I will make sure I hire an story editor and copy editor to check over the work and suggest improvements (I've read a few self-published books that had great stories, but desperately needed editorial tightening). I haven't read your books yet, but they certainly look professionally done (enticing covers). How did you handle the editing process?
