1.      Option Agreement: I signed an option agreement with a film producer who wants to make a movie from Shooting an Albatross. We’re now working on the next steps (see below).

2.      Screenplay: I wrote the screenplay adapting Shooting an Albatross to film, and the film producer plans to take the project “to talent” and “to financiers” in the next few weeks (before the holiday season).

4.      The Sequel: The Sequel: My second novel is done, but I have placed writing the screenplay high above publication of the book, at least for now.

5.      Book Sales: Book sales are flat. I blame this on:

a.       Lack of effort (I spent my time writing instead of selling); this should serve as a caution for anyone planning to self-publish.

b.      Overpricing the book (that’s only a suspicion but I suspect that’s what happens when you blindly follow a publisher’s advice).  I just lowered the price to $9.95, but I wonder if the price is still too high. Any thoughts?
