Anderson, who overcame massive drug addiction, shows readers what God can do with a dead-end life. Her book chronicles her thoughts, fears, and joys without blinking. She never excuses her choices but rather praises God for rescuing her. If the book stopped there it would be powerful enough, but it doesn't. Anderson shows how God "restores that which the locust has" destroyed. She also provides readers with a close-up view of a God deeply interested in every facet of His children's lives. Each short, anecdotal, easy-to-read chapter ends with a personalization, prayer, and verse to ease home the Father's love for His children.
