Click, click, click in 2006 is the motto of the grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter team, known as the Pearls of Wisdom From Three Generations. Making a resolution and sticking to it is a challenge the trio agree, but not impossible.

Native New Yorkers, Celia Ford, Theresa Allen, and Pamela Simonson, encourage people to share resolutions with others including parents, friends, spouses, and children. They suggest a “testimony” will make people more accountable and resolutions will not be a forgotten dream in 2006.

The inspirational speakers also recommend write the resolution down, reread it daily, post it in several prominent places like a bathroom mirror, the fridge, or put it on your IPOD. 

Living by the credo found in their best selling collection of family sayings, famous expressions, and prayers, Pearls of Wisdom From Three Generations (Thelemaque Publishing), is another maxim with which they live, stating,

“The shortest pencil is better than the best memory.” Ford, Allen, and Simonson were 75, 50, and 25 when they wrote the best seller. They wrote down words of wisdom passed down from generation to generation. They also pen a weekly advice column called Ask Pearls of Wisdom and give advice to readers from three different perspectives.

“Being creative helps a resolution come to fruition,” the Pearls also agree.  

“A promise becomes hum drum if you tried doing the same thing last year and failed. Remember to think outside of the box”, stated grandmother Ford. The retired registered nurse feels being creative with your resolution may make a difference. She keeps a daily journal and recommends people start writing if they have not already. It allows people to recap accomplishments and note emotions.

“Be courageous, outrageous, and do something for which you will never be ashamed”, chimed in her granddaughter, Simonson. The professional opera singer offers boldness as a philosophy and put God first in all you do.

“Everything else falls into place”, she claims, “but you must take responsibility by acting on your resolution.”
