Gothic/Electronic act Dead Poets Society enters studio to begin work on their 3rd album in the past three years.
The Oregon based gothic/electronic act Dead Poets Society recently entered the studio to begin work on their 3rd album in the past three years.
"The new album will certainly contain more of Raven Nightshado's lyrics and voice. Probaly more new vocal material than our previous two albums put together." reported, founding member and percussionist Wa.
This independent act has had incredible success including remixing Depeche Mode and Madonna, recording a single with Ryan Mann the lead vocalist of the Nu Metal act Hotboxed, as well as opening for headliner Spectre VII this past summer of 2002.
They've received critical acclaim from numerous people within the music industry including Gods of Music and Gothic Beauty Magazine.
Their 3rd album comes on the heels of their first two releases DEPROGRAMMING and their landslide debut THE ELECTRIC HAZE.
The band has indicated they will include a cover of a song by THE DRAGONFLIES on their third effort. The Dragonflies are best known as the Pop Punk band with the hit single "Critical Nature" from the motion picture soundtrack SUGAR & SPICE. THE DRAGONFLIES were recently signed to a major label.
Recently the band just finished remixing songs from the Darkwave act MINEFIELD. Two of their remixes are scheduled to appear on a remix album by MINEFIELD to be released sometime in the spring of 2003.
