Children
I Keep Finding Eggs in My Shoes! is a book about a white crested black polish chicken named "Miss Chickie". Her adventure on the farm is limited to Patrick''s messy room and no place for a nest. Patrick''s shoes are the perfect solution. Enjoy the adventure with your children as you read this book together. ISBN 978-1-4512-0513-8. Also on E-Book ISBN EBOOKPRE96388

Miss Chickie was a pet given to me by a very special nephew.   This being my first encounter with chickens, I learned quite a bit about these magnificent creatures.  My imagination of how a chicken would react to different situations has been ignited.  Miss Chickie had a few learned behaviors that will eventually end up in new stories.

Since having this last book published I have acquired 24 chickens here on the farm.  I get lost in my imagination as I watch them at feeding time.  Which one will be the next Miss Chickie with the unique personality?  Miss Chickie will always be number one but I have a feeling there are a couple of cute chickies that will follow.  Do other authors have the problem of so many story ideas floating around in their heads and not enough time to sit down and write them?

I would like to have a huge shelf full of books that I have written and illustrated myself.  I don't want this to brag or become important and expect people to see what "I" have done, but just to have the ability to sit and write and draw and publish for fun.  It's like having a new toy to play with.  Since I am in my sixties now, I needed to stop playing with the kids toys and come up with my own.  (She says jokingly!)  So writing and illustrating children's books is now my new toy.  I am having so much fun with life now and I think its because the inner child in me has learned a great way to express herself.  (Do I sound like I need therapy?)  Living among Gods creation is inspiration for many things in life.  I give God full credit for all my accomplishments.  I am nothing but He is everything and He is very gracious with His love and gifts.

Keep smiling!
