I am not certain how many, if any of you, my online friends and followers will receive this notice but Jerry reminded me that I have been absent from the fray for some time now.
Two conditions have led to this, my present circumstance, and both are of a very positive nature.
First, as some may know, I have been battling a bad heart for some time now. It had allowed me only brief excursions from my home and often resulted in emergency room visits.
In late March I agreed to retry a procedure that had failed to produce positive results on three previous occasions. Needless to say I was not very optimistic about the outcome. However, this time it proved successful!
It has been a true transformation down to the cellular level as I am once again able to get out and interact with the world.
As the weather has improved I have been busy following local festivals, peddling art, playing music, and setting up readings from my book of poetry.
As it were, I am continuing to take this hiatus, in an effort to clear the cobwebs and to reconnect with family and friends.
To all of my AD friends, thank you for your encouragement regarding my writings over the last year especially.
The summers in New Orleans are usually slower with little to do and I am imagining that I will fall back into my late night literary world.
I feel like a little kid running around with all of this energy. I have no way of knowing how long it will last so I will use the time accordingly.
Thank you again for your support and you will be hearing/reading more from me in the not-so-distant future.
