Educational poetry is printed regarding seizure's effects in epilepsy journal.
Surprise! Surprise! I was delighted today to open up the latest edition of the Epilespy Foundation of Southeast Texas' newletter and find one of my poems staring me in the face. The summer edition features "Convulsion's Answer" written only a few months ago and dedicated to my husband, Eric.
Eric has always been the best friend and comfort a person could want when one is having a seizure. He seems to know without my communication exactly what I need. Although mine are rare now, they are different than before my operation, and I hope to continue to reach others through this outreach.
If you have ever wondered about what to do for someone having a seizure, I recommend this poem as it is written from one who knows. There are too many wrong answers in the general public.
I will be available at the Women's Initiative in Houston on September 24, 2005 at the Houston City Club sponsored by the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Texas. I will also be at the piano in the entry way, so if you're in the area, please do come beginning at 8:30.
