“Whew, it’s a relief to be out of Mary Clay’s head so we can speak for ourselves. She’s working on a new book, but she doesn’t write fast enough to suit us.
“We’re the DAFFODILS which stands for Divorced And Finally Free Of Deceitful, Insensitive, Licentious Scum®. We’re middle-aged sorority sisters from the University of Georgia who renewed our friendship when we all divorced our various husbands. Penny Sue holds the record, she’s a DAFFODIL three times over. :-)
