Peter G. Engelman has written a two part article in the Beth El Voice, monthly bulletin of the Beth El Congregation in Baltimore, MD. The article deals with the healing quality of the minyan and how it has helped hundreds of mourners to get through their loss.

There is a calling when we lose a loved one and among Jews that call is to be with our own kind, others who have suffered similar fates.

Coming together to say Kaddish for a loved one is not easy in the midst of such angst. Neither is it easy to affirm and praise God in the heart of such distress. And yet they come!
