What's New With Sherry Bach July 28, 2013

Wow! I think it's been since November of last year since I updated you.

It's been a wild ride.

My son is in the military and I got to see him at Christmas for the first time in 2 years and meet my daughter-in-law so that was extra special. I also met my first grandchild! A girl! My daughter was also home from college so we all had a great time.

January through May was filled with applying for jobs in Florida, writing, and planning for my daughter's wedding at the end of May. I turned 50 in February! Yikes! I published my first romance novella called "Worth The Wait" in May; it's an eBook on Amazon…here's the link. Click here

My daughter's wedding went very well and my son was able to be there. The wedding took place on the Halifax River in Ormond Beach, Florida.

So now that both of my kids are grown and married, I am free. I love my Florida home and will keep it but there are not many jobs in the Daytona Beach area. More jobs in Nashville and I know a lot of folks who graciously let me stay with them. I returned to Nashville after the wedding in hopes of finding work, although I will run home to Florida every chance I get even if it's for a long weekend. I secured a job as a research analyst with a consulting firm here fairly quickly. Yay!

In July, two CD's came out that I have song cuts on. One is Ryan Oetken, a country artist and the song I co-wrote on his CD is called "Boston". I have 2 song cuts on Nathan Shore's CD…the song "Indiana" and the song "Resist The Lie". Nathan is a Christian artist and I am very proud to have cuts on his CD; this is one of my proudest moments so far as a writer. Nathan is currently in New Zealand on a mission's trip until November. Keep your eyes and ears open for this young man; he sounds like John Mayer but he's a Christian. Nathan's CD review is listed in my articles.

I was able to work on the set of the TV show "Nashville" as an extra for the 1st episode of the 2nd season. It's a Bluebird Café scene…look for me but don't blink cause you might miss me. I also got to work as an extra on the movie "The Song" which releases in the Fall of this year. We were part of the pinnacle of the movie.

Keep oil in your lamp; keep it burning and don't let it go out. Share a piece of the light with everyone you can.
