At a Vietnam memorial, in Twain Harte California, my poem, "I Did Not Die," which appears on my site, was read by a Vietnam Veteran. After the ceremony I was contacted by the publisher of the Twian Harte Times. Here is what he said.
"Rosalie, your poem was read by a Vietnam Vet at our town's Memorial Flag Raising event. It's impact was evident by the tears of almost 400 participants and nearly a hundred vets. Thank you for writing it. You nailed it. Many people have asked if we would publish it in the local newspaper, the Twain Harte Times. What say you? Thanks, Mike Ashland.

Needless to say, I gave my permission for the poem to be published in the paper. I makes me feel proud to know that something I wrote touched so many hearts, especailly those of the veterans of Vietnam.
