The Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra will perform J'eu d'Enfants (Children's Games), Opus 22 on January 14, 2012. The orchestra commissioned Holly Weiss, author of Crestmont, to write verses to be read prior to each movement.

Children's Games is an orchestrated version of a series of musical vignettes about the goings-on in a doll house. Bizet originally composed over twenty movments for two-hand piano. He subsequently orchestrated five of the movements.

Holly Weiss, author of Crestmont, is excited because the project combines her musical and writing skills. A "Meet the Author" event is scheduled for after the concert. Snow date is January 15, 2012.
