After posting my first chapter on Authonomy months ago, I have suddenly started getting comments from people - one last week and two today:

I can't imagine trying to start college, move into a run-down farm and worry about my ninety-year-old mother left behind in term time. And then find time to write about it. But I'm so glad you did. My only complaint is that I can't download everything you've uploaded and read it in bed.
When well-written, these are my favourite sort of books - a sort of vicarious life in the country. And your book is fabulous. I wish you the very best for it. Backed. Lynn

I only had time to read up to the purchase of the farm, with the "terse reply" of the solicitor. My wife and I were just talking this weekend about buying a place with more land--although we were thinking more along the lines of five acres. High on the discussion points was how could we garden the land.

Your writing is a wonderful blend of your inner hopes and fears, coupled with the vivid description of the farm. I hope to get a chance to read more and enjoy your adventure.
