If you have an e-reader, July is a great time to check out some of the authors at Smashwords. Many of them participate in the annual Smashwords summer sale, running from July 1 - July 31, in which their ebooks are discounted 25, 50, 75, and even 100%. When you click on a title, you'll see a discount code in the upper right-hand corner which you can apply on check-out.

My titles, for example, which are normally $.99 are free for this month. Titles of mine that are $1.99 and up are discounted by 50%!

So why not celebrate the 4th of July by trying out a new author!
