I received an email today from my publisher that my book is going to be officially released on July 26, 2010. I'm starting to get excited. It's really only been about two months since I first submitted it for publication, but it feels like years. It took almost a year to write, so I guess that is why it seems like forever. If you are waiting for your announcement, mine came about 4 weeks after my book appeared for sale on my publishers website. Good luck to all and hang in there, it's hard to be patient, but it is definitely worth it.
