PBR:  Today we have the pleasure of being with Geoff W Hampton, author of the new non-fiction book titled, “The Real American Gigolo”  Geoff, thank you for taking the time to be here with us.

GWH:  Thank you for having me, it’s a pleasure talking to you.

PBR:  Did you have any reservations about putting your story in print?

GWP: Yes, people seem to think badly about gigolos. They think gigolos take advantage of older lonely woman. But I don’t feel like I took advantage of anyone. Also I didn’t want to cause a problem for any of the women I knew

PBR:  Are you still recognized to this day as the American Gigolo?

GWP:  No, the last time someone called me this was in 2000. That was the last time I saw the lady called Tammy in my book.

PBR:  You dwell on the emotional side of your adventures in this book.  Was it important to you that this side of the story came out?

GWP: Yes, it was very important to me. I believe this story wouldn’t be that interesting without the emotions side. Besides there was a lot of emotions involved when it did happened.

PBR:  You repeat several phrases over and over throughout the book.  Was this planned in your writing and why?

GWP:  No, it was not planned. If these phrases appear over and over again it’s because it happened that way when I was living the story.

PBR:  You share several rules at the end of the book. If there were any rules you could add in today, what would they be?

GWP:  I share these rules because I believe that a lot of men don’t have the privilege to be instructed on how to treat and appease women. The only other rules I would add today is “Just be true and honest about yourself”.

PBR:  How long did it take you to write your book?

GWP:  Once I started writing it took me about eight months. I didn’t have to make up a story because I had lived it. So it made it a lot easier.
