This small book Click hereis compiled from the writings of Hubert Moxon Earnshaw (1908-1983) by Audrey Coatesworth.

These are brief recollections of a childhood with very few material possessions, no mobile phones or digital toys, no electricity, no antibiotics and sparse transport facilities. Their lives were tough. Yet, the children happily made their own amusements, and wandered around freely. 

In the short anecdotes, one picks up the interest and enthusiasm of the children, and how, though they had nothing that modern day children and teenagers expect or even demand, they were surrounded by a wealth of family love and a village community, with its care, concern and tolerance.
