My latest book, Through Katrina's Eyes, Poems from an Animal Rescuer's Soul, has been awarded The 2006 Merial Human-Animal Bond Award in the International Cat Writers' Association Communication Contest.
The Merial Corporation, a world wide Pet Health and Welfare company, sponsors this award every year for the entry that best exemplifies the human-animal bond.
Although my book won the award, the animals are the real winners, and with this award, I hope to assist many more homeless pets during the Holidays,and in the year ahead.
