Last year I flew over the Brunei Bay and western Sabah. It was a clear day, and I was able to make a serious of shots that qualified the health of the marine environment - half an hour of flight became a revelation in respect of human interaction with the environment. Some pictures show intact coastlines and blue water, others the silting up of lagoons caused by upriver logging, the destruction of shallow marine shelf zones by illegal immigrants.
