My second book, PAPER DREAMS, is being published by Matador of Leicester, England on the 1st December 2011.

The cover, is blue and beautiful.   I now have 50 copies of my book, which have been sent to me ahead of the publication date.

The following extract is taken from a local Newspaper (The Haslemere Herald) on the 28th October 2011:

PAPER DREAMS is the second novel from Churt author, Phyllis Burton.

It follows the life of Katie Nicholson, who, in attempting to get over a failed relationship, finds herself sorting out some books and paperwork in an old mansion.

Katie uncovers some secret letters from the 1950s about a second heir to an ancient fortune.   She gradually becomes intertwined in a battle of inheritence, greed, romance and attempted murder.

With all the ingredients for a good story, Phyllis hopes it could be her big break.

Phyllis and her husband have three children and seven grandchildren.

Fiction runs in the family, as her son is a sci-fi author (Chris Burton) with his second book due for release shortly and her daughter is a copy editor.

Phyllis has lived locally for the last 40 years and has thrown herself into various local endeavours.   She wrote, produced and directed a play which was performed in Chiddingfold, Surrey and has sung as a trained soprano in a local Opera company.

A keen painter, she designed the cover for her first book which was published in 2006.

She has written several short stories, one of which was read on local radio and has started writing her third novel.

PAPER DREAMS is being released on December 1, just in time for Christmas.   It will be priced at £7.99 in paperback, or £5.99 as an ebook."
