GLB Publishers, the publisher of the first ten books in the Dick Hardesty Mystery Series, is closing its doors at the end of this month after more than 20 years of service to the glbt community. Arrangements have been made for my current publisher, Zumaya Publications, to re-issue all ten books. The problem is, logistics and publication schedules dictate that they can't all be released at once. The first of the books to be re-issued will be book #3 of the series, The Bar Watcher, which should be available hopefully by the first of June.
As a result, the following books in the Dick Hardesty series will in effect be out of print until they can be re-issued over time: The Butcher's Son, The Ninth Man, The Hired Man, The Good Cop, The Bottle Ghosts, The Dirt Peddler, The Role Players, The Popsicle Tree, and The Paper Mirror.
If you have not read the titles listed but were planning to or would like to do so, I suggest you get--or order--them from your local bookstore, Amazon, or other on-line bookstore immediately.
I sincerely dread the thought of many of them being unavailable for even a few days or weeks, let alone for however long it will take to reissue them, and apologize for any inconvenience to my readers and potential readers.
Those books in the Dick Hardesty series published by Zumaya (The Dream Ender, The Angel Singers, and The Secret Keeper) are and will continue to be readily available.
