Cancer has certianly upset my writing progress. I'm going to MD Anderson now, where people often go when chemo fails, and it often fails. Chemo is poison they give you as if it were medicine making a person extreamly ill. It affects the mind "chemo brain" as they call it and a person can do little more than watch TV try to sleep and usually can't eat or keep anything down. That's over for me, after 16 rounds of high dose chemo I said NO MORE! The DR knew it wouldn't work when he gave it to me but you can't get into trials at MD Anderson until the chemo fails and mine failed twice.
They hacked out most of my right lung disabling me from doing physical things. I had to see another doctor to help me recover from the effects of chemo then I went to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Texas and got into triles there. The Avastin they give me puts my mind in a fog and causes nose bleeds constantly. I go every 3 weeks for a treatment but am having surgery on my right foot so they took me off the Avastin this round and finallhy my mind cleared up enough that I'm tyring to do a few things while I can.
Thanks to a flabatomist at MD Anderson who put me in touch with a friend of her's in LA who is a producer and screen writer who told me to send him a synopsis of my screenplay so I did. I have no idea if anything will ever come of it but we will see. During that time I've converted the short story Kim of New Eden into an hour long TV script trying to refresh my mind on the protocals of screenwriting.
I was more than 3/4 into Ember Reign book 4 which will be the most exciting yet and may be the last in this series. I work on it now and then between all the other stuff I'm trying to do. I learned there's no point trying to write if the mind isn't fully functional and mine hasn't been since on these drugs they give me for cancer.
