From the beginning of this book you are thrown into the heat of battle, no gory detail spared. It is obvious from the descriptive narrative that this author has seen his fare share of war and knows battle techniques, mindsets and vehicles (especially aircrafts) well. The way he describes the clashes between enemies are so intense, I found myself holding my breath and trying to guess who would survive.
From a desperate situation in Japan to the jungles of Colombia to harsh Mongolia, Texas and more fantastic locations the gunfights are dangerous, intense and pull you into the story. When the secrets from the past begin to unfold I was shocked and excited to see what would happen next. Definitely an enjoyable read.
