The science fiction adventure Degranon continues to reach new audiences in new ways!
(Lubbock, Texas) West Texan Duane Simolke is best known as the editor and co-author of The Acorn Gathering, a mainstream fiction collection that is raising funds for the battle against cancer. However, he is also a lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy.
Shortly before completing work on The Acorn Gathering, Simolke also completed work on Degranon, a science fiction novel that he first conceived as a teenager. Despite its emphasis on action and futuristic concepts, that novel actually provides satirical commentaries on censorship, political correctness, fanaticism, and many other controversial topics.
SciFan, a growing database of science fiction and fantasy, now features a biography of Duane Simolke, along with links to information about Degranon. SciFan also lists Degranon under a variety of themes, encouraging readers to explore the book’s possible messages and interpretations.
