Literary Fiction

ARGO, one of two new novels I'm working on, is a slow go. This morning, for example, I had to delete virtually all of the first chapter. The tone I was using was inconsistent with the main character.

I'm not dismayed; I've written enough of these to respect the process, even when lt loops back on itself. TIGERLAND, my first novel, took six years to wrie and destroyed a marriage...
