Lately, I have become aware of certain unscrupulous people who wish to spread their fear, resentment, and hatred of self published writers. I, of course, was a target of this group who fancy themselves to be brilliant writers and critics. I am not going to mention names.
Ordinarily, I would counsil my fellow writers to ignore such ridiculous slander, because it is essentially negative and self defeating in nature. But I despise such pettiness and feel I have to comment. I believe that most dark critiques of an unknown writer emerge from a deep sense of insecutiy.
I would caution these people to clean up their own backyards before looking into mine. It would be better for them to concentrate on creating works of art rather than tearing down someone who is trying to create from the heart and imagination.
