haiku:
hidden flower

a blushing bride
baby's breathe
on mother's left breast
sweet surrender
Lost in Translation
Once, I lost my voice...
...then lost it
among the static
cling-

to every word,
to every sound byte
'til no one heard
the S.O.S.
the message --- lost in transition
by being archived
with yesterday's news
the moment I signed off
Understanding My Muse
the sound of my voice...
...echoing
from the depths,
rising
ebbing
with each syllable
spoken
the words s t r e t c h i n g
across the page
my fingers striking
the keys - sweet melodies playing in my ears -
with each template embracing
the parchment,
recording my every thought,
my every image
to the page
for future generations
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
