"I met Steve Baty at a recent glamour shoot. He came to my house on trade -- which meant I’d receive copies of all photos while he’d receive my audition for his upcoming 'Girls of Cape Cod' calendar. As a skinny teen I’d wanted to model, and was even invited by one agency. Within months of my rejection of said agency, I spotted its models in top teen magazines. Naturally, I’ve wondered what direction my life would have taken if I’d said 'yes.' So now, at age thirty-four, I swallowed my pride and put up a current, amateur portfolio on a free modeling site. Baty’s company -- All Media Productions -- was one who subsequently notified me.
When visiting Baty’s site at Click here, 'home' comes to mind. Pristine, Cape-Cod beach scenes, weddings and people grace its pages. Baty, 53, founded the company back in 1977. Nearly three decades of multimedia experience has allowed 'All Media' to become the multimedia business in these parts. In fact, Baty was just selected by Wendy Northcross, COO for the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, to provide large-screen video displays in the visitor centers and on the website.
While introducing digital signage to our parts is one aspect about Baty, his high-profile clients are a whole ‘nother. These include Woman’s World magazine and the Cape Cod Symphony, and the 2004 Massachusetts Governors Conference on Travel and Tourism. To top it all off, his business generally offers glamour shoots, family portraits, brochures, post cards and specialty products.
Yet, there is a stark simplicity in his veins. Having lived here since 1957, Baty uses the Cape’s native elements – an upturned boat, wildflower, or tranquil ocean – to convey an untouched purity in each of his subjects. (He used all three elements in our glamour shoot.) His art has been influenced by a near-lifetime here."
