Sue was "bred and bawn" on a Georgia plantation in the late 1800s, entered college at 14, became a teacher and newspaper writer, befriended Mitchell, advised Selznick on the movie, won numerous awards for her newspaper work, helped found the Macon (GA) Little Theatre, wrote a grammar school text book, met the famous (e.g., Truman, Sherwood Anderson and many other authors, and was a wonderful, loving aunt.
