The kick-off showcase for DT at the Georgetown Starbucks is August 24th from 8-11pm. The roster of talent is guarenteed to bring em' in off the street for all that's bitter and sweet!
Maybe you've heard great things about Dancin' Tongues and L.D Stewart...maybe not. But, Starbucks in historic Georgetown has!
Now Dancin' Tongues and its' founder and host L.D. Stewart are branching uptown to Georgetown every fourth Friday of the month. "The original showcase will continue at the 8th & H Street location on the fourth Thursday of every month until they throw me out," says Ms. Stewart. DT at 8th & H will showcase kids 18 & under August 30th.
The new venue is in the heart of G'town at 31st & M Street, NW. The larger space suits the kind of clientle and traffic one finds in Georgetown and allows for more artists to features in a single showcase. "I'm striving to offer a free platform to the mass of talented musician, visual artists, designers,etc., and expose them to the equally eclectic community of Georgetown", says L.D.
