The first chapter of God's Son, "27" sets the tone for what the true meaning of the title is. The ability to see and and experiece things that other may not. The first chapter speaks about my first experience with the supernatural, which occured at the age of 14. 13 years later I finally decided to tell this story which would make the young man I saw 27

"He put the things on the bed and stood back in front of the mirror. That’s when I woke up. I was very disturbed, as I walked to the restroom and looked at myself in the mirror I was sweating like I had been baking in the sun all day trying to get a tan. I remember something was wrong with my neck. It wasn’t hurting or anything it was numb. As if it were an elbow and I had hit my “funny bone.”
I walked into the kitchen and got a glass of water. Although I felt like a “weird-o” for being able to see the things I was seeing in my sleep, I remember I was going to wake my mother and tell her what was happening to me. I began to think of the things she could say to me.
Like “Are you sure it’s not all in your mind?” or
“Your just having a bad dream?” Thinking about these things I quickly dismissed the idea. As I stood in the doorway of my parent’s room, I didn’t want to awake my mother anyway. I wasn’t sure if what I was seeing was true."
