As of late February, 2007, four new books by Patricia Backora have been published with I-proclaim, an imprint of Dorrance Publishing.

1. Big Bucks and the Boogerman
This series of hillarious stories and articles is narrated by Tex the Longhorn Steer. Tex uses lots of homespun humor to warn people of the wiles of greedy televangelists.

This mini-novel reminds readers of an ongoing social outrage which is more difficult to eradicate than the Bubonic Plague. Bullies might have their fun in the here and now, but what goes around comes around and God will judge them in the end.

3. Set God's People Free
A thoroughly researched study of the unscriptural practice of tithing, imposed by learned pastors on the poor of the flock. The true Biblical tithe consisted only of farm produce and was paid only by those engaged in agriculture or animal husbandry. Farm workers did not tithe on their wages, either. The purpose of the true Biblical tithe was to feed those less fortunate, not to make them poorer!

4. Gravel Road to Glory
A collection of poems which give insight into the author's perceptions of the inconsistencies and contradictions of Christendom. But while there might be dismay and sometimes outrage at all that is wrong with religion today, hope shines eternal as glimpses are caught of the real Christ.
