"'M.E.S.H.' provides positive and simple answers to gain mental, emotional, and spiritual health for life," reads the publisher's description. "Everyone experiences mental, emotional, and/or spiritual traumas in life. It's not a matter of 'if' such situations will touch us but 'when.' if we look over the course of our lives, we find there have been many moments when our mental, emotional, and/or spiritual health has been under attack. The sources of our tramuas can be from a variety of people, situations, and circumstances.
"When these crises occur, our response to the situation will play an integral and possibly a pivotal role in how we will live live from those defining moments forward," the synopsis continues. "How we deal with the challenges can affect our self-esteem, the direction we take in life, our relationships, our social success, our attitudes, our goals, and our mental, emotional, and spiritual health."
Menker, who has extensive experience in counseling, graduated with a bachelorof arts degree in religious studies from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, and has a master's degree of pastoral counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla, Georgia. He and his wife Cathy have two sons, John and Chris.
