Author Diana Estill's book, This Can't Be Normal  (Corncob Press), has been named a ForeWord Magazine Book of the Year Finalist. 

In 23 essays about everything from falling space debris to childhood vacations gone wrong, Estill confesses to losing her husband on a "booze cruise," incinerating a Christmas gift from her mother, and accidentally killing her next door neighbor's tree.

Bookend Chronicles, a book review blog, says, "This book is a scathingly honest articulation of a southern woman and her insight into the layers and layers of the soulful laughter and dynamics of married life, child rearing, and social interaction; all wrapped up and, to a large degree, depicting insanely emotional nuance."

This is Estill's second book nomination from ForeWord Magazine. Her previous title, Deedee Divine's Totally Skewed Guide to Life, was a ForeWord Book of the Year Finalist in 2009.

This Can't Be Normal is Estill's fourth collection of humorous essays. She has authored one novel, When Horses Had Wings (Corncob Press).
