A Kentucky woman is the first winner of my “What Happens in Kansas City Doesn’t Stay in Kansas City” blog contest.

Karen O’Bannon, an author from Louisville, was the first person to correctly answer all of the questions associated with the blog. 

I decided to create a blog contest after visiting the Hallmark Cards Headquarters in Kansas City, MO for their first-ever bloggers conference.  I thought it would be a fun idea to give away the free stuff I received from Hallmark to my blog readers. I  was one of seven bloggers from around the country to be invited to the Company’s, all expenses-paid, trail-blazing event.  We were given the opportunity to provide feedback on Hallmark’s new line of Journeys encouragement cards.

I was very impressed with what I saw, although there were one or two cards that didn’t do anything for me.
