In a letter to the author, Shirley wrote, I began reading Moving On and I didn''t stop until I had finished reading this wonderfully touching book!
I began reading Moving On this morning, and I could not put it down. What a beautiful story! The story is written with such feeling and it is so down to earth. Many times I felt Betty's tears and sorrow when I was reading. I had to stop and get my box of hankies to have near by, for I felt at times like a water fountain was coming out of my eyes. I got so choked up while reading and got that lonely feeling I have experienced so much after losing the two loves of my lifetime--my husband of forty years and recently my dearest friend who died of liver cancer five years ago. I feel it is time for me to downsize and get my life and estate in order. It's something I should not procrastinate on any longer. Moving On has helped me to recognize that need. And I am praying I can and will meet someone to share the rest of my life with. Thank you for writing Moving On. It is such an inspiring book!
