Author-composer Laraine Elizabeth Turner announced recently that she is preparing a repertoire of songs that she has composed herself to perform at future book signings. All of her songs, she explains, are directly related to the books she has penned, including "Song of the Bayou," ("Chanson du Bayou"), "Poor Li'l Baby," and "The Thorns of the Roses." Ms. Turner, who will featured in the 2005 edition of Marquis' "Who's Who of America" (due this October), says she will begin performing her songs at her next book signing, scheduled at Borders Books, Music & Cafe, in Rolling Hills, California this October. She will also continue to do her famous dramatic readings and "Cajun dancing."
