Re: Request for editorial reproduction of your poems
How are you?I hope you still remember me and our company, as last year I sent you an e-mail asking you to grant us the permission to adapt one of your poems called Health Fuel. Then last September I sent our published book to you from Hong Kong. I also visited your website and sent you several e-mails. Our company is going to publish another English textbook soon and would like to include two of your nice poems (Creation of Friendship and A Day Sorely Remembered) in the following book:
Book title: Performance Plus for the HKDSE - Paper 1 Reading [5]
(Publication date: September 2010)
The above-mentioned book title has similar nature as the one I sent to you. We would like to provide excellent poems to students as reading materials and ask them to answer the questions set by our author. Students need the book to prepare for their public exam beginning from 2012 called the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). This time the new book is for more capable classes in local secondary schools (for those Secondary 5 students). Our company has found that your poems are very suitable for our educational purpose. Our author thinks that your poems are excellent poems for teaching and learning. So, I would like to write to you again, sincerely asking for your kind approval to allow us to use your poems in our books.
I would be grateful if you could let me know, at your earliest convenience, if you can grant us the permission for adapting the two poems for editorial reproduction, as well as the form of acknowledgement requested.
