Second-generation immigrants join traditional white cattlemen in enjoying Jerry Engler's books, Just Folks: Earthy Tales of the Prairie Heartland, and A Heartland Voice: Just Folks Two, at book signings in Dodge City and Garden City, Kansas.

Jerry Engler was signing books at Hastings Bookstores last week in the traditional heart of cowboy country, and he was particularly pleased to find that among the buyers were young second-generation descendants of Laotian and Mexican immigrants.

He also signed for "more traditional" white and black young people, as well as older people, but found the new immigrant children a pleasing addition to the market.

Engler was asked to return to the same stores soon when his new book, Highly Embellished Truth and Some Poetry: Just Folks Three, is released.
