Grace feels that these kidnaped women wind up murdered like her victim. When the trail leads Grace to an underground sex club run by The Master, she decides to go undercover to investigate deeper. Max, who had initially not returned Grace’s attempts to collaborate on the cases, clashes with her on the handling of the investigation. Domineering and controlling, Max wants full control while Grace stubbornly refuses to back down. At odds over the investigation, Grace and Max find common ground in each other’s arms. As the danger escalates, Max finds he will do anything to protect Grace from The Master, who seems to be targeting Grace specifically. With time running out , Grace and Max need to work as a team if they are to succeed.
Laura Marie Henion does an excellent job of pulling the reader into this multilayered story where the final resolution holds nothing but surprises. She realistically portrays Max and Grace, delineating the many motives that push cops to succeed. Cop’s Daughter: Grace will appeal to readers on many levels with a high degree of conflict, danger and passion.
