Spring Poetry Walk at the PVAS Wildflower Festival
POEMS SOUGHT FOR SPRING POETRY WALK
Published poets, first-time poets, and nature lovers who want to be poets
are all invited to submit their finest efforts for display during this
year's PVAS Wildflower Festival.
The Wildflower Festival will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 19, at the Yankauer Nature Preserve north of
Shepherdstown.
It will include guided wildflower walks through the preserve, children's
activities, refreshments, and performances by the Goose Route Arts
Collaborative.
This year for the first time the festival will also include a special
Poetry Walk component - poems that focus on spring themes in general and
spring wildflowers in particular will be posted all along the preserve's
Kingfisher trail.
To submit poems, e-mail them to poetrywalk.aol.com or drop them off at
Four Seasons Books, 116 West German Street, Shepherdstown.
Please clearly label your submissions "Wildflower Festival" and include
your full name and contact information.
Up to three poems per person will be accepted.
All poems are due by March 31.
