During the upcoming Pikes Peak Writers Conference I will have a pitch meeting with a prospective new agent

As I prepare for a first meeting with a prospective new agent I am filled with enthusiasm tempered with the knowledge that such meetings do not often result in outcome most writers dream of. With that in mind writers have this in common with actors, dancers, singers, and all artists, we do this because we must.

I will show up prepared, hopeful and eager, but the most important part is that I show up.
