How my Computer blew in the storms the D/FW area had about 4-5 weeks ago.
Hi everyone. It is me, Becca. I wanted to say a HUGETHANK YOU for the responses to my poems, even though I am not able to answer to your poems as of late. You see, .......
We have a protector on our computer, the surge protector, but we went ahead and left the computer PLUGGED IN while we were having the Severe storms in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area about 4 weeks ago! Well, it turns out we FRIED our ethernet card and about 121 VOLTS of electricity is coming from the USB port! So, we have to copy everything to diskette and then throw away to an old computer store our computer and I had a friend give me $500 towards a new computer!!!!!! It was my early Christmas present!
Then, my Mom found a friend who would get us a computer with lots of stuff on it, Pentium IV and 17 inch monitor, 256 memory, 48 gigabyte,etc. for $600. It even has a sound card that works so I can listen to poems now! We will round up the rest of the money.
My sister will pick up the computer at the end of the month. I will be stuck going to the library just a bit longer, then I can start reviewing your work, everyone's who I am tracking, again. Thanks so much and Take care guys!
