The new book by William Bryan Smith, author of There's Only One Quantum (2013), and two previous novels, will be released September 2, 2014. Smith's new book, Free Range Men, is a novella that follows the downward spiral of a lifelong adjunct professor struggling to make sense of his life after divorce. Free Range Men is a modern day tragedy set in small-town Pennsylvania, told in a spare prose, and punctuated with dark humor.

My second book is about a boy who has Asperger's Syndrome and is bullied to the point to where he shoots up his school. I have divided the excerpts from it into three parts: Before, during and after the shooting.
'Coruscated Confabulations' is a collection of stories and experiences, most of which took place in prior decades. They are taken from or based upon real events, with a certain admixture of fictional embellishments.
