Lori Soard offers her popular PLOTS WITH POLISH workshop FREE.
Hi, folks. I'm offering a free course starting May 3rd (that's Friday). I will probably limit registration because if I get too many, it just becomes overwhelming to deal with the volume of questions.
To sign up, just send an email to: 1_Free_Course_Lori_Soard-subscribe.yahoogroups.com
You are welcome to forward this message, but you might want to sign up first :)
Plots with Polish
One of the key elements in becoming a successful writer is a solid
plot. Not only will a solid plot help sell your book but it can also
keep your reader involved and ready to buy your next book. While you
can take this course if you're a beginning writer, this course is
geared for a more advanced student who wants to improve their
writing. Email me if you have questions at lasoard.aol.com
Week # 1 Plot Styles...how do you plot? Are you a detailed
plotter? Ideas for plotting whether you are a seat-of-the-pants
writer or a planner.
Week # 2 Plot Points. All books (or maybe I should say all riveting
books) have certain plotting elements. We'll breifly cover these
elements and I'll give you a handout of outlining questions to help
you plot your own book.
Week # 3 Traditional Plots. We'll discuss 15-20 typical plots that
are seen over and over again in novels and that you can use for
ideas. Of course it becomes yours from the details and your
characters. These are general guidelines.
Week # 4 Plot Polish. You'll share a synopsis of your plot and
we'll go over it with suggestions for improvement.
I'd like to then see the list we'll be using turn into a loop that
can be used for support and encouragement on the plotting issue and
other issues.
I will be offering the course free online starting Friday, May 3rd. To sign up, simply send an email to :

I am probably going to limit registration so the questions aren't overwhelming but will decide that by Monday.
